In a major step toward intelligent water management, CDigital successfully implemented a Real-Time Flow Monitoring System for the Punjab Irrigation Department under the guidance of WAPDA. Designed to modernize the province’s extensive canal network, this project aimed to improve the accuracy, transparency, and efficiency of water resource distribution. The solution integrates real-time monitoring of water levels, discharge rates, and flow velocities, powered by ultrasonic and velocity sensors, and includes a customizable executive dashboard for live data visualization and decision-making.

The system now enables the department to make data-driven, timely decisions, optimize water distribution, and proactively respond to anomalies through automated email alerts and custom discharge control options. Its secure architecture, groundwater data integration, and interactive mapping and reporting tools offer a holistic view of water dynamics across the network. Tailored specifically to the needs of Punjab’s irrigation infrastructure, the solution ensures greater operational control, accountability, and sustainability in managing one of Pakistan’s most vital natural resources. This system represents a significant advancement in water resource management, providing WAPDA and associated departments with the tools necessary for efficient, transparent, and responsive water distribution across the region.
